Kintek is an Italian company, leader in turning and milling toolholders manufacturing, offering a wide range of solutions for CNC machines and accessories.

Founded in 1989 in Turin (Italy), Kintek consolidated its international presence thanks to innovation and quality of products, covering any need of machine tooling. In 2022, Kintek know-how and manufacturing capacity expanded through the acquisition of Gait, historic brand from Bologna operating in machine tool market since 1960s. Specifically, Gait range is particularly focused on milling toolholders and accessories.

Since 2023, Kintek is part of Aksìa, a private equity fund supporting growth of industrial excellences in Italy.

In January 2025, Aksìa Capital V, a fund managed by Aksìa SGR, announced through its investee Kintek the acquisition of Mictu, an Italian company specializing in the production of specialty and high-precision tools for various industries.

1989

The beginning of a journey

Kintek has been founded in 1989 in Turin, with a clear mission: become a reference point in high precision toolholders manufacturing.

1997

First step toward excellence

Kintek develops and expands its product range presenting first general catalogue, starting a real growth in the market

2009

International footprint

Kintek initiates a new plant in Hungary, drastically improving production capacity and strengthening its presence in Europe.

2022

Gait, a new chapter

Kintek acquires Gait, a company playing an important role in Italy for over 60 years, focused on manufacturing of milling toolholders and machine tool accessories. This is a unique opportunity to consolidate competencies and build on synergies, creating a real Italian leader in toolholding market

2025

Mictu joins the group

In January 2025, Aksìa Capital V, a fund managed by Aksìa SGR, announced through its investee Kintek the acquisition of Mictu, an Italian company specializing in the production of specialty and high-precision tools for various industries.

Kintek is currently running three production plants, strategically distributed to guarantee efficiency and quality.

Kintek headquarter is located in Mappano, close to Turin in Italy. The site consists of two buildings, for a total development of 2.900 sqm, hosting about 30 employees. Kintek main finished good warehouse is located here, very close to our production plant for small to mid size toolholders, for both turning and milling applications.

In our 3.200 sqm factory in Bologna (Gait plant), we produce toolholders for milling applications and machine tool accessories. 25 people are working in the site and an ancillary finished good warehouse ensures best service to customers located in this industrially strategical area.

Bekescsaba plant, in Hungary, is our biggest site (more than 5.000 sqm and 50 employees) and is focused on manufacturing of turning toolholders, both static and driven, vices and milling toolholders from mid to big size.
